IUCN just published a report on freshwater biodiversity in the Lake Victoria Basin. You can access the report through the IUCN library here: https://portals.iucn.org/library/node/47642.

We contributed with Brian Watters a small account about the Nothobranchius species of the basin, on pages 59-60 of the report.

Of the five formally described species known to inhabit the area, two have been relatively recently described, both of them endemic to the drainage basin of the lake: Nothobranchius sagittae is assessed as Endangered (EN), whereas N. serengetiensis is evaluated as Near Threatened (NT).
